About our son Thomas,

He is enjoying the army West Point academy life.

He is joining the several club at West Point (Kendo, Chess, Japan club etc.).

he will come to Japan for exchange student next year.

We are looking forward for this opportunity.

If you have a chance to come to Japan, we welcome you any time.

Thanks again for your support for us.

And we hope God bless you next year also!

Best regards

Mitsuya & Naomi Koizumi

I will share the Thomas`s mail for you.

I just wanted to let you know that I officially got accepted for a semester abroad to the National Defense Academy of Japan (防衛大学校).

It’ll be next year in the fall, during my Junior first semester from I think August 5 to late December.

I don’t know if it’ll be possible because I may have to come back to brief the Dean on the trip, but I may be able to stay in Japan for Christmas break without having to buy another plane ticket next year.

Whenever I get a three-day break or something, I may visit you a few times!

I’m super excited for this incredible opportunity to study in Japan!

I’ll definitely have to study a lot more Japanese to prepare myself though!

(Actually the classes are super easy for exchange students from what I’ve heard. My friend is there right now and can barely speak Japanese, but he’s doing fine. I’ll pass with no problem but I just want to really take the opportunity to master my Japanese.)
